The National Instruments cDAQ-SV4202 (Part Number: 868017-01) is a complete CompactDAQ Sound and Vibration Measurement System designed for high-accuracy dynamic signal acquisition. This complete system is configured for engineers and researchers who need accurate measurements from IEPE sensors and other transducers in demanding applications. The system comes complete with the necessary hardware to measure and analyze the noise and vibration data required for product validation and health monitoring of assets.
This sound and vibration measurement solution is based on the powerful cDAQ-9174 chassis and the NI-9234 module. The cDAQ-9174 is a USB-based, four-slot chassis that is the heart of the system and provides a rugged and expandable platform for data acquisition. This chassis provides the correct timing and fast transfer of data to the host personal computer to enable complex multi-channel measurements. This chassis also has been designed to be rugged and reliable, so that it may be operated in a wide temperature range and will survive in typical shock and vibration conditions encountered in industrial and mobile testing applications. This rugged, modular design permits future growth possibilities by providing a way for the user to implement additional C Series modules for new measurement types.
The special NI-9234 dynamic signal measurement module gives the high accuracy and precision required for sound and vibration measurements. This module has four channels and simultaneously samples the data at the rate of 51.2 kS/s per channel at 24-bit resolution, thus giving the ability to observe the finer characteristics of the signal being measured. It incorporates internal IEPE signal conditioning. This allows for powering ICP® sensors such as accelerometers and microphones without external signal conditioners, as a closed-loop driven, constant current power supply of 2 mA will be available. In addition, the internal filter is anti-aliasing and varies directly with the sampling rate selected by the user, allowing the user correct and valid results and a very large 102 dB of dynamic range of the filter.
